Troop 16 Scoutmaster Dick Taylor is seeking used Boy Scout uniforms to set up a “closet” of shirts, pants caps, etc. to help hold down the expense of clothing growing Scouts.
“I’m not talking about anything that former Scout parents want to save, just things they might have in their closets or attics that someone else could use,” Taylor said.
“Scouts start out in the program when they are 11 years old and about to begin a growth spurt, so they outgrow their clothes quickly.
“This will help families keep costs down, especially when their sons first join.”
Call Taylor at 662-363-6631 or 662-363-1367 if you can help with the effort or if you need more information.
