John William “Bill” Wheeler

Services for John William “Bill” Wheeler, 75, of Tunica were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at First Baptist Church with Danny Smith officiating.
Mr. Wheeler was born on Oct. 21, 1935. He passed away on Jan. 15, 2011.
He was an active member of the Tunica Lions Club, where he served as the tail twister, past president and a recipient of the Melvin Jones award.  He also served in the Army and Army Reserves.  He was retired lead salesperson for Case Power & Equipment. He was a member of the Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, June Jordan  Wheeler;  a daughter, Janet Wheeler of Southaven;  a son , John David Wheeler (Carmen) of Southaven; a sister, Jackie Carver (Jimmy) of Pope, Miss. and ex son-in-law, Ronnie Wisniewski.  He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Jordan, 12, John Dalton, 9, Thomas, 9, and Jorja, 3. 
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shelby Jean Wheeler, and his brothers, Jerry Bennet Wheeler and Jeff Wheeler Sr.
