Honey Winters
Mrs. Willie Glenn “Honey” Winters (Gale, Hall, Whalum) was born on September 22, 1930, in Tunica County, Miss. to proud parents, the late Willie and Sarah Ann Brown. On Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her family, her triumphant life ended.
She was educated in the Tunica County School system and Rust College in Holly Springs, Miss. Her love and sweet character earned her the name that stuck with her from childhood, “Honey.” She was eldest of four children and was preceded in death by her sister, Beatrice Brown Miller. She is forever remembered by her sister, Rose Hartfield (John), and her brother, Ezra Brown (Florene), and her cousins, RC Shaw, Cardell Shaw and Rose Reynolds.
