Family and a few lifelong friends gathered at Isle of Capri’s Farraday’s Steak House to honor Betty and Vance Moore on their 60th wedding anniversary, May 12.
When asked how they met, Vance replied, “We always knew each other. There were only about 15 families in the community of Furlow where we lived. Everyone knew everyone else, and her brothers were my best friends.” Vance explained that the Furlow community was about seven miles from Loanoak, AR.
Betty was only 15 when she married 23-year-old Vance.
