Art exhibit features teacher, pupil
Northwest Mississippi Community College’s November art exhibition “Teacher and Student” will feature abstract works by Marie Hull and Andrew Bucci.
The exhibition, which is organized by the Mississippi Museum of Art and supported with funds provided by the museum’s statewide Traveling Exhibition Endowment, will be housed at the Northwest Art Gallery in the Art Building on the Senatobia campus from Nov. 3-26.
This exhibition from the Mississippi Museum of Art explores the reciprocal relationship of Marie Hull and Andrew Bucci as teaching artist and student. As a teacher, Hull understood quite well that remaining open to new ideas and new ways of seeing is essential to being an artist.
