Tornadoes devastate MS towns
Communities all over Mississippi are recovering this week from a massive storm system that moved into the state Sunday night.
Tunica County was under severe thunderstorm, tornado and flash flood watches and warnings most of Sunday afternoon and evening and into Monday morning, with bouts of heavy rain, some small hail and thunder, lightning, and one possible tornado sighting near Clayton occurring.
But the storm saved its wrath for northeast and central parts of the state. Tupelo, Louisville and Brandon were hit by tornadoes Monday afternoon; all three sustained significant damage to homes and businesses.
