During World War II, The Tunica Times was filled with stories of brave deeds of servicemen overseas and of support at home.
H.C. Webb set out to raise $10,000 for war related agencies, while PFC Robert G. Hubbard of Maud was killed in action, and PFC Richard Watson was in a hospital “somewhere in France.” Mary Rita Dulaney enlisted in the Waves, while Justus Lake “recuperated from wartime injuries.”
