Travel, dogs, crafts top list of noncredits
Northwest Mississippi Community College will be offering several non-credit classes this fall, according to Pam Wooten, coordinator of Continuing Education.
Upholstery 101, which is taught by Gloria Singleton, will be offered on Thursdays, Sept. 9-Oct. 7, from 6-8 p.m. in location TBA. The fee for the class is $130, plus fabric and supplies. The deadline to register is Tuesday, Sept. 7.
Participants in this class will learn the basics of upholstery—the skills, materials, tools and tricks of the trade. The first class will consist of discussing fabrics, tools and supplies needed for projects. Students will be required to bring a small piece of furniture on which to work and will learn how to cut fabric, and trim to attach it to the furniture.
