Rangers’ playoff run ends in Hattiesburg

The Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers ran into one of the state’s hottest teams in the opening round of the MACJC playoffs.
Northwest was swept by the Jones County Bobcats in a best-of-three series May 7 and 8 at William Carey College in Hattiesburg. Jones County won by scores of 12-1 and 8-0 to end the Rangers’ season at 27-24.
