Lions rest before district play
With a break in their schedule, the Rosa Fort Lions will spend the week preparing to meet an old rival.
Rosa Fort will meet Byhalia on Oct. 4 at the Lions Den for their Homecoming game and the start of district play. Head Coach Edwin Norwood anticipates it will be a game fans will want to see.
“Byhalia is a familiar opponent,” Norwood said. “All of the coaches know each other and we want to beat each other. We anticipate a great, hard fought game. They are 1-3 right now. They didn’t play this Friday because of weather related issues.”
Meanwhile, Rosa Fort stands at 4-1 after a close battle with 6A challenger Olive Branch on Sept. 20. The Lions fell 37-18 to the “all around solid competitor.”
