Northwest graduation set for May 17 in Senatobia
Northwest Mississippi Community College President, Dr. Gary Lee Spears, has announced that Rev. Thomas McLauglin will serve as keynote speaker for the college’s three graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 17 at the Howard Coliseum on the Senatobia campus. McLaughlin is the director of Baptist Campus Ministry for the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board and serves as director of the Baptist Student Union (BSU) at Northwest.
There will be 185 students who receive the Associate of Applied Sciences at the 8:30 a.m. ceremony; 224 students will receive Career Certificates at the 11 a.m. ceremony and 311 students will receive the Associate of Arts at the 2 p.m. ceremony. According to the Northwest Registrar’s office, 720 students will participate in the commencement exercises, and Northwest will graduate a total of 1,027 students this year.
