Lions vie for North title

Rosa Fort High School basketball coach McKinley Scott and his young team overcame a slow start to finish the 2012-2013 season with an appearance in the North State tournament semi-finals last Friday.
Although the Lions fell 78-64 to Amanda Elzy High of Greenwood, the team ended as one of the top eight teams in Division 4A in the state.
“Amanda Elzy won the state title last year, and they returned most of their team,” Scott said Tuesday.
