Cookin with The Columns: A bite of history
Waldorf Salad is something I first discovered when I was in college. They had it on the salad bar in the cafeteria and when I was in a hurry I would just eat a bowl of it for a quick lunch. Now, I make it for our lunch sometimes. This recipe is much more involved but much more delicious. By the way, Waldorf Salad was first served at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City in 1893.
