Nine students from Palmer Home near Hernando are attending Tunica Academy for the 2012-2013 school year.
“Our children love being there,” Palmer Home’s assistant director of social services Craig Bernard said recently.
The children are picked up by a TA bus each school day, along with about 30 other students who attend from DeSoto County. Other Palmer Home children are enrolled in school in Lake Cormorant, Bernard said.
