Help me understand people writing letters that are not accurate!
This letter is in response to the letter published on August 17, 2012, in the Tunica Times, that was written by Edward Walls. It seems as though he is disgruntled about several items that resulted from the Flood of 2011.
My husband and I own a little fishing house at Tunica Lake, which I will refer to as the Cut-Off. I don’t feel that we are so isolated, ungoverned, or not a part of [Tunica County]. We receive a tax statement each year, we have garbage pick-up, we have public utilities. After the Flood of 2011, we were instructed where to place debris that was removed from our houses. The debris did have to be brought outside of the levee and placed in a designated area.
