Sometimes I see things in Tunica County that stop me dead in my tracks.   It no longer matters that I have an appointment and I am already running late.  It no longer matters that I have a business to open promptly at 9 a.m.  All that matters at that moment is trying to deal with the situation at hand.  That is the way I felt the first time I saw Gracie and her little puppy.  The sheer hopelessness of their situation took me to my knees.  I truly pray that my heart never hardens to the point where I am not moved by another’s suffering.
