District ‘in the black’
Proposing to hold the line at $26 million, the Tunica County school board is poised this week to adopt a budget for the 2013 fiscal year.
District business manager Yulanda Austin laid out details last week at a hearing on the financial plan.
Austin said the amount being requested – $7.9 million – was unchanged from the 2012 budget year, but because the total assessed value of property in the county has declined, the millage figure may go up.
