Rotary Club’s guest speakers bring information, fun
On a recent Thursday, when a regular program for Tunica Rotary’s weekly meeting had not materialized, this writer recorded members reminiscing about all facets of the local club experience, from heritage to traditions, from projects to programs.
Of some 4,000 over the course of the club’s 83-year history, two programs still stand out in members’ minds: cited as the “worst program ever” was a slide show of dental problems and procedures presented by the late Dr. Tom Turpin; and the best, a demonstration of exercise techniques by a young and presumably nubile – and somewhat scantily dressed – young woman.
