Farm Service Agency targets funds for socially disadvantaged farmers

The Mississippi State Farm Service Agency announced the availability of funds in the Socially Disadvantaged Applicant loan program for qualified individuals who want to purchase or operate a family-size farm in fiscal year 2012.
In Fiscal Year 2011, which ended September 30, 2011, Mississippi Farm Loan Programs made 114 SDA loans totaling more than $6,735,000.
