Town eyes bumps in road
The Town of Tunica is seeking a $100,000 grant to help repair one of the most traveled roadways in the corporate limits.
Mayor Chuck Cariker asked for a motion to apply for a small municipalities grant that would cover costs associated with overhauling River Road from U.S 61 to Main Street. Cariker said a consultation with engineer Daniel Murphy has lead to a plan to overlay the roadway. This will provide a more smooth surface for up to eight years.
