Coker to serve as 2010 Relay For Life chair
A chairman has been named, a committee formed and a date selected for Tunica’s 2010 Relay For Life event to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Meg Coker, editor of The Tunica Times, is serving as this year’s chairman. Her committee met last week and confirmed Friday, August 27 as the Relay date.
Coker, 29, was a member of the 2009 Relay For Life committee. She is a graduate of Delta State University, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Coker has been employed at The Times off and on since she was 15 years old. Promoted to editor in 2004, Coker has won a number of awards for writing and editing. She is married and has two children.
