Services for Aline Lacy Stroud, 90, were held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home, with Bro. Danny Smith and Joe Massey officiating. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Stroud died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Stroud and her late husband owned and operated a saw mill and lumber yard in Hollywood, Miss. for over twenty years. After moving to the town of Tunica, Mrs. Stroud owned and operated the Mug & Cone restaurant for a number of years.
Pallbearers were Chris Harrison, Jerry King, John McKee, Steve O’Neal, Paul Phillips III, and Daniel Shannon.
Honorary Pallbearers were Larry Hudspeth, Rex Lester, Jack Day Perry, Jr., John Pugh, and Manny Rico.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul G. Stroud; two brothers, Thomas and George Lacy, and a sister, Mary Etter Crawford.
She is survived by her children Katie Stroud, Paul Stroud, Jr., Nancy Stroud Purvis, Anne Stroud Allison, Mary Jo Stroud Shearon, and Jimmy Lacy; four granddaughters, Martha Purvis Ross, Cindy Stroud, Holly Stroud McKinney, and Marlo Purvis Grehan; nine great grandchildren, Mary Aline (Allie) Purvis, Madison Kate Ross, Anne Lawton Ross, Jones Wesley Ross, Cole McKinney, Grant McKinney, Kate Forrest Grehan, Elizabeth Marie (Ellie) Grehan and Molly Anne Grehan.
Memorials may be sent to Tunica First Baptist Church or Tunica Academy.
