Two applications underway for local charter schools
Part one of a series
Primary contacts at the two entities with letters of intent to bring charter schools to Tunica County said their applications are on track to meet the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board’s (MCSAB) March 14 submission deadline. While MCSAB Chairman Tommie Cardin said his organization looks forward to reviewing those applications, he urged Tunica County citizens to ask questions and get an understanding of how key components of proposed charter schools might work.
Cardin said review of applications to bring charter schools to Tunica County and other places in Mississippi will proceed at the MCSAB, despite any opposition to charter schools.
