Church begins to rebuild after storm
Help is on the way for a Tunica County church that was literally blown apart in tornadic winds the weekend after Christmas.
Pastor Robert Lenair of New Stranger’s Rest Baptist Church said this week that most of the demolition of the church’s sanctuary is complete, with a bit more left to do.
“The sanctuary was totally destroyed, and there was 65 percent damage to the Fellowship Hall,” he explained.
