County moves to cut town funding
Working relations between county and city governments took a turn for the worse last week, as supervisors voted to cut the town’s share of gaming tax revenue in half.
By a 4-1 vote, the county board resolved to send such a request to the State Legislature. James Dunn, Henry Nickson, Phillis Williams and McKinley Daley voted in favor of the resolution, with Cedric Burnett casting the lone “no” vote.
