Company gives to ‘little shelter that could’
Editor’s Note: The following article was recently included on Fed Ex’s corporate website.
A dedicated group of FedEx employees have been long time volunteers for the Tunica Humane Society. When word spread of the great need there, more FedEx volunteers took up the call. During FedEx Cares Week, a group from Air Operations headed to Tunica to build a 10x16 storage barn for the shelter and also joined with other FedEx volunteers to perform various tasks around the shelter that were much needed. That experience led to the decision to sponsor the Tunica Humane Society as the Air Operations designated charity for the FedEx cares United Way Fill the Tote Campaign. The Tunica Humane Society is definitely ‘the little shelter that could”.
