Rangers come up short against Tigers
The aerial attack of Northeast’s Jerrard Randall and Jeremy Liggins, two former LSU Tigers who combined for 360 yards passing and four touchdowns, helped propel the Tigers past Northwest 34-21 on Thursday, Sept. 19 at Bobby Franklin Field in Senatobia.
Northeast improved to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the north while Northwest dropped to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in north division play. The Rangers still lead the all-time series 35-17-2.
Northeast racked up 533 yards of total offense and was in control early. The Tigers scored touchdowns on each of their first two possessions and led 14-0 after one quarter.
