Scouting makes a difference
Only four out of 100 boys in the United State will become Scouts, but three out of four leaders in business, religion and politics were Scouts. And nearly two-thirds of all college and university graduates were once Scouts.
These statistics and more point to the reasons community support of Scouting is so important, according to officials who spoke to Tunica Rotarians last week.
“Boy Scouts is the largest youth organization in the Mid-South, with 16,000 members,” Northwest MS District Executive Alex Pelletier said.
