Citizens seek EPA review
The Board of Supervisors authorized lot clean-ups and took action on citizen concerns at their March 18 meeting.
County code enforcer Jewelie Brown had previously presented a list of properties in need of attention. County attorney Andy Dulaney said public hearing notices had been mailed to the physical address of the properties, the address on file at the tax assessor’s office or hand delivered by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Department. No one had responded to the notices by Monday, except property owner Eddie Lee Cole, who was present at the hearing.
Dulaney said Cole was in the process of correcting issues on his property and no action was required on his lot.
