Flooding still plagues residents
On March 18, four Verner Road residents made a plea to the Board of Supervisors for a resolution to ongoing flood issues in their neighborhhood. Supervisors took no action, awaiting a report from county water management officials.
Robert Whalen presented the board with a disk containing pictures from his residence during most recent rains. Whalen said waters rose to his door and will last for 2 to 3 days.
“I’ve been talking about this for a year now,” Whalen told board members.
Whalen’s mother, Gladys Ware, also spoke.
