Marky Aden, a former Clarion-Ledger staff writer who made the unlikely transition from giving a last tribute to the deceased as an obituary writer to becoming a triple-board certified physician, died Friday at age 62.
A pediatrician at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, the former Mississippi Delta resident had fought cancer for several years. She is donating her body to medical science. After one to three years of medical studies her remains will be cremated and returned to her family. They will travel to Clarksdale for her burial. A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. on March 23 at Holy Trinity Church in Kenwood.
