REPORT OF
THE GRAND JURY

We have examined 23 witnesses and return this report:
57 True Bills, 0 Presentments, and 13 No True Bills.

We have made a personal inspection of the County jail and find it is in good condition, and sufficient for the safe-keeping, accommodation, and health of prisoners.

The entire jail area needs better ventilation, cleaning, sanitizing, new wall paint, and new ceiling tiles; the laundry room needs new washers and dryers; there are holes in the walls of the jail which need repairing where the sheet-rocking meets together; the nurse’s station should have a secure shelf (possibly glass with a lock) for storing medication; the women’s area of the jail needs special attention for cleaning and painting; the fire extinguishers’ housing throughout the jail have been damaged and need repair or replacing; the kitchen area needs organization and cleaning; there should be better food for the jail inmates; inmates need new flip flops and jumpsuits; the law library should be updated with books; inmates should G.E.D. prep.
