Tree Talk: Trees are one of Tunica’s biggest assets
During our first meeting of the tree board, we discussed the many problems the town is having with our beautiful old trees, as well as maintaining our downtown trees. We also have the job of replacing some of the trees that are in need of a major overhaul.
We can all do our part in keeping our old established trees alive and well by doing a yearly wellness check of our trees. Think of a healthy tree as an investment. A healthy tree increases in value with age, increasing our property value, beautifying the surroundings, purifying the air, saving energy by providing cooling shade in the summer and protecting from winter winds.
