Move very fortuitous for Tunica restaurant
It’s just after 4 p.m. Thursday and Rocky Morales is stocking long neck bottles of Dos Equis, Michelob Ultra and Modelo Especial behind the shiny, shellac-coated pine bar of the new Mexico Grill restaurant in Tunica.
Inside the restaurant, neatly lined tables, complete with chairs featuring hand-carvings and painted backs, are situated down one side of a double aisle of booths located on the central part of the building. On the other side of the restaurant sits the long, angled bar with its dozen or so stools oriented toward a large flat-screen television behind the liquor counter.
As is common with most Mexican restaurants, Latino music permeates the air with the sounds of salsa and other current Mexican genres.
