Superintendent proposes coaching strategy
After reviewing districtwide STAR data from August, September and October, Superintendent of Education Steve Chandler is going back to his football roots. He and the district hope to bring in some new recruits to help coach teachers to successful year end results.
Chandler has recommended the hiring of three instructional specialists for Tunica County Schools. The school board approved the additional personnel at their meeting on Nov. 14. Chandler said “to his knowledge,” instructional specialists are a first for Tunica County Schools.
