TRIAD gives thanks
On Monday, November 19, the seventh Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner sponsored by Sam’s Town Casino and Hotel, in conjunction with the Tunica County Triad, served over 1000 people including 500 TRIAD members. Senior groups from Desoto, Tunica, Tate, Panola, Coahoma, Quitman, Sunflower and Tallahatchie counties along with residents were in attendance.
The event began with the presentation of Colors by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office Color Guard Team and the National Anthem sung by Leigh Watson. Pastor Evelyn Hubbard led the crowd in prayer, followed by Mike Pastore, of Sam’s Town Casino, who welcomed all to the event.
