Chandler eyes progress
With time ticking down on the first half of the school year, Superintendent Steve Chandler presented an academic calibrator to the school board on Nov. 14.
He said that the changes are being made in the district and five procedures are in place to facilitate that change. The district is now using: white board protocol; competency and strand specific student work stations; weekly leadership team and professional learning community meetings with finished products; academic tracking using Renaissance STAR assessments and monthly school leadership team calibrator presentations.
