Home Cooking: Bailey makes recipes her own
When Lee Cobb Bailey finds a recipe she really likes, it’s very seldom that the finished product ends up on the table with the same exact ingredients called for in the recipe. That’s because she likes to add her own personal touches to make it uniquely different.
“I’ve never been a from-scratch cook,” admits the 33-year-old stay-at-home mother of two. “I usually find a recipe that I can easily get the ingredients from home. Then I can add something to it to make it my own.”
Reared in Tunica County, Bailey remembers watching her mother cook at a very early age. She also remembers her very first encounter in the kitchen, which she says was not a fond memory.
