In days of old, X marked the spot for buried treasure. Today, a sign for the Tunica County School District’s Parent Resource Center signals a wealth of wonders to behold.
Parent liaison Ruthie Davis mans the center located on the campus of Tunica Elementary and reports there are ways available to “help parents become actively involved in their children’s education.”
Those ways are numerous. The two room center is filled with books, games, videos, flash cards, puzzles – anything that can help a child with reading, math, language skills, science, and even social studies, Davis has it on hand. Materials are checked out just like at a library and can be sent home with a child if requested by a teacher.
