Last week, when Brian wrote the article about me, I thought I should have put this recipe in the Cookin’ column for you.  I have given it to you in this column before, but it’s one of my favorites and one I have used a thousand times at least. 
My grandmother (we called her Bu) used to make waffles for me when I spent the night at her house, and now I make them for my grandson, Scott Anthony.  My favorite way to eat them is with pecans and bananas on the top, but plain is good too – that’s how he likes them.  Just lots of butter and syrup.
