My name is James Dean. Nancy Dean and I live at 1121 Plum Road., Nel-Win Camp subdivision (since 1975). We were victims of the 2011 flood. We lost everything, including our home. We had no flood insurance as our home was elevated and had always been safe in the past....I own a small lot...and am going to rebuild and am doing so.
The Nel-Win board...gave me permission in writing to move in a camper trailer to use as I rebuild....(then) filed papers in Chancery Court to force me to remove my camper. I refused as we have nowhere to go....In their complaint...the board said my camper lowered their property values and asked for financial compensation.
