On Saturday Sept 22, Neketta Dean organized the first 5K run/walk with all proceeds going to the MS Alzheimer’s Association.
Stan McCarver, a 62 year old man who was diagnosed with the disease a year ago, gave his testimony of how he struggles to fight the disease every day. After the opening prayer, Stan sang, “You are the wind beneath my wings,” dedicating it to all those who work to fight this dreaded disease for which there currently is no cure.
