Sheriff: Someone has answers in cold cases
On May 13, 2009, family and friends of Fannie Burks received news that a nightmare was coming to an end. After 15 years, Sheriff’s Department officials had a suspect in custody in connection with Burks’ murder.
Today, the Sheriff’s Department is hoping they can give other families the same wonderful news. Commander Eugene Payne reports the department is working six “cold cases” in an effort to provide answers for some grieving familes.
