Blues gateway advancing
The Gateway to the Blues Visitor’s Center may soon be rising from the Delta soil as the Board of Supervisors opened bids in conjunction with that project on June 30.
Nine companies submitted bids for phase one of the two phase project. The first phase includes the relocation and renovation of a train depot owned by the Hood family and renovations to the existing Visitor’s Center in Tunica Resorts.
Engineer Mike Young read bids aloud to a crowd of over 20 citizens and contractors. Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau President and CEO Webster Franklin was also on hand for the bid opening.
